Interpretive Signage
 
A unique "Scatter Log Effect" made from 100 year old hardwood salvage from the old Myer Building in Queensland. "Fish Ribbon" signs were place along the Parramatta River Weir.
 
 
Award Winning Signage:
Central Signs entered this project into The Australian Sign & Graphic competition and have achieved a Gold Award in "Rotary Engraving" . A category for any engraved sign or image using a rotary engraving machine on any selected material.

Hardwood Timber engraved with interpretive text. Photo anodised plates were embedded flush with the hardwood surface.

Fish ribbon with photoimages, installed proud or flush with concrete weir. Conditions on & around the Parramatta River were particularly demanding with ever changing installation conditions.

The very best 100 year old hardwood was used, free of knots, splits or cracks. Faces were hand sanded, special jigs were made to ensure the engraving of the interpretive text was precisely positioned.

Installation was difficult due to tricky access and working around peak hour busy pedestrian traffic. Footings had to be precisely placed to ensure the "scatter log effect".
